Dow AgroSciences is the largest employer in the area, with more than 180 employees working at the Harbor Beach site. These employees make an effort every year to give back to the community they live and work in. Here are some examples:

• The contributions made by Harbor Beach site employees and contractors make up nearly 90% of the total dollars donated to the Harbor Beach United Community Fund.
• During the 2007 holiday season, employees at the Harbor Beach site raised thousands of dollars to support six families in an Adopt-a-Family program.
• Harbor Beach employees wrap and deliver gifts for Clothe-A-Child each holiday season.
• Dow AgroSciences Harbor Beach sponsors a local high school bowling team and the Huron County hockey team.
• The site sponsors the Harbor Beach Maritime Festival and sponsored the first Annual Winterfest in February 2008.
• Dow AgroSciences Harbor Beach donates two $500 scholarships to Harbor Beach High School.
